the big day: emily + dennis.

if you are like us, you are yearning for warmth and sunshine right now. so we decided to share this wedding with you since it's bursting with vibrant patterns and springtime colors. emily and dennis said i do back in september at their lilly pulitzer inspired wedding celebration. we designed their invitation suite, but emily, who loves to craft, created all the guys' bow ties, the flower girl's hair bow, the programs, menus, chalkboards, centerpiece jars, place cards and photo booth props! we love every single glittery detail....and those bridesmaid dresses?! amazing. we wish this happy couple a lifetime of love. we are happy to announce their wedding was also featured on wedding chicks today so you can view more of her fabulous details here!

work wednesday: connelly-newman realty holiday card.

we thought this year's connelly-newman realty holiday card was perfect to share on this snowy winter day! just like their twenty thirteen card, we partnered with an illustrator to create a custom painting for the front of the card. mandy curtis from myrtle & lloyd painted a cozy stone home glowing with warmth on a cold winter's night. they selected the poem stopping by woods on a snowy evening, by robert frost, for the interior. the cards were mailed in a vibrant rust colored envelope and sealed with a custom mailing label.

work wednesday: rachel + ron.

rachel and ron celebrated their nuptials back in november at their garden-fairytale-destination wedding in new orleans, louisiana. their ceremony was held at corpus christi-epiphany church and the good times rolled into their reception at the pavilion of two sisters. we really enjoyed creating their iconic new orleans save the date last year, however, they requested their invitation suite to have a more romantic and formal vibe. with a similar color palette of plum and olive green, we designed their stacked package which allowed us to overlap rustic magnolias with other enchanted patterns. their letterpress invitation was a combination of formal and handwritten scripts decorated with hand-drawn flourishes. they selected an rsvp postcard and a folded information card which housed the remaining details plus a custom map of the french quarter to encourage their guests to explore. we finished the package with natural and metallic gold baker's twine and a custom monogrammed tag. their layered bundle was mailed to guests in a gold glitter lined kraft envelope and hand addressed in metallic plum ink by the fabulous mandy from myrtle & lloyd. we were also asked to create a few day of pieces including these kraft paper menus and over-sized wedding programs.

we wish the newlyweds a happily ever after and look forward to sharing the big day in a few weeks.

work wednesday: polis ventures.

we recently developed branding for a new investment company, polis ventures. they envisioned a modern yet traditional logo that reflected growth, elevation and also gave us the freedom to explore the acropolis and spartan/greek elements. their new business cards were letterpress on a double thick cover stock. the navy and grey logo stands alone on the front and their contact information is on the back. we wish raheem + omar best of luck in their new endeavor!
